About window tinting

When you move to Colorado, a lot of us move for the beautiful outdoor activities, mountains, clean environment, and beautiful seasons and weather. We have so many gorgeous sunny days here and it is awesome to be able to go outside and get a clean full breath of air, unlike so many places around the States now.  One of the things that you do not realize with the high altitude is just how bright the sun is up here on the mountains and high plateaus, though. The glare is tough whether you are driving or skiing. The sun is also hard on things like your auto upholstery, furniture, and carpets, causing fading, material breakdown, and deterioration at a lot faster rate than you might realize.

I had just bought a new car when I moved to the Littleton area. It did not take me long to realize that I had to do something with my car’s dark interior, as I could have fried an egg on my seats or dash even in winter when I was parked in the sun. It was beautiful, but hot. That is when I started looking around for a way to stop the heat and damage and looked for the best window tinting Littleton, CO had to offer.

Since I had a new car I sure did not want some company that just slapped up sticky film and left a bunch of bubbles, or it was too thin to hold up to the harsh Colorado elements. I did a little research and found out that cold also affected window film, so I asked around until I got local recommendations for a company that not only did a good application job, but stood behind their work.

A good window tint business should be able to do your car in less than a day. It should not be full of strange chemically smells when they are done, either, and they should, like any good garage, put down coverings on your seats and floor if necessary to keep from a mess getting into your upholstery or carpet.

One thing I figured I needed to check and was glad I did was the percentage of light or blocking allowed with tinting in Colorado, a safety issue. Colorado has a weird amount, which is 27% of the light must be allowed in minimum for side and rear windows. The front window, though, you can only have a four-inch wide strip at the top of your windshield and it cannot block over 30% of the light, with 70% of the light allowed in. Make sure you ask if the tinter knows the law as if your windows end up too dark it is a good way to get a hefty ticket in Colorado.

Ask around and find the best window tinting Littleton has to offer. It will be priced competitively, you will have a product that will last and not bubble, run, or peel later in the life of your car, and you will be a lot safer on the roads when you drive.
